This small bowl is wheel-thrown and features a hand-carved sgraffito band around the middle section. Tribal patterns inspire the design and creates a striking visual contrast between the warm and cool tones with the intricate carved details underneath.
The surface of the bowl is divided into three horizontal sections. The inside and top outer edge are finished in a smooth lavender glaze that brings a calming, sophisticated touch. The middle band is unglazed and carved by hand, revealing black-and-white patterns through the sgraffito technique. The base is coated in a rich ochre/desert glaze and pools slightly where it meets the unglazed bottom, creating subtle shifts in tone.
It is ‘slightly flawed’ due to a small crack in the exterior glaze, but it remains perfectly functional as the interior is completely intact and unaffected.

While I recommend hand washing as the safest cleaning method, this piece is dishwasher (and microwave) safe.
